Outdoor learning with Vermont's teacher of the year - WCAX.COM

WCAX reported, Kyle Midura joined us for ECO last week. We had a great time in the forest. In this filmed clip, students are busy building "insect hotels." This task encouraged thinking about the needs of insects as the colder weather approaches. Teams worked together to create environments which would help those insects that "winter over".

Where do bugs go when winter comes?

This week at ECO we noticed the changes in the weather, and began to think about insects and their winter needs. Students spent time planning and creating bug hotels~cozy winter homes for the smallest critters. Some groups collected insects to add to their hotels.

Amy Butler from North Brach Z Nature Center joined us for ECO!

Kyle from WCAX has a blast at ECO and leaves a little muddier than he expected!!
