Fall Conferences

The kindergarten team would like to schedule parent/teacher conferences early in October for kindergarten families this year. Grades 1-5 are having conferences in November and we feel that it is important to meet with you a bit earlier. We’d like to take this opportunity to talk about the individual needs of your child, their response to the first six weeks of social learning, as well as address any questions or concerns that you may have.


We look forward to spending some time with you in the coming weeks. These conferences will start the week of October 11th and continue until the end of the month, thus allowing plenty of time for scheduling needs.

Our Trip to Liberty Orchard

Despite some very misty weather, we had a wonderful trip to Liberty Orchard. Apples were picked and tasted and all kindergarten kids really got to explore the orchard. Many thanks go out to the parents who were able to join us on this trip.

Field Trip Coming Up

 

On Monday, September 27th, we will travel by bus to Liberty Orchard in Brookfield. All kindergarten classes will enjoy visiting the orchard, sampling some apples, learning about the life cycle of an apple tree, and will look for living things. We would love many chaperones. Please let me know if you are interested in joining us. Parents may pick and purchase bags of apples for $10/bag. We are sorry about the short notice,but this is the day that we were invited to Liberty Orchard by Mr. snd Mrs. Brees, the current owners.

Please help your child select appropriate footwear for this trip. Sneakers, hikers and mudboots would work well. it may be damp in the orchard in the morning. We also reccomend dressing in layers.

All chaperones are welcome in the classroom on Monday. Please join us for morning meeting.We plan to load the buses at 8:45 and depart by 9:00. We plan to return to school by 11:45 at the latest.

Sunflower Day!

We had a great time last Friday. We went to collect sunflowers together, and practiced our traveling skills. We returned to school and looked closely at the sunflowers and did some fun activities too!
