Thursday, September 15, 2011
Nature Adventure Program is coming!
We will be heading up to Hubbard Park on Monday with naturalist Amy Butler. We will be taking our lunches with us( some bag lunches have been ordered already). Please let me know if your child would like a bag lunch. Choices include Yogurt or PB and J. Chaperones should bring lunch too!
Our plan is to head up there at 11:30 and eat once we arrive.
Please help your child dress in layers on Monday. Also help your child choose good footwear for hiking. Sneakers and hikers are great!
Thanks for your help!
Please let me know if you will be joining us. I am expecting Berenice, JJ, and Jen M.

Getting Ready For School
Welcome to first grade!
I have been busy getting ready for school to start, and I just can’t wait to see you on the first day of school. I will meet you on the lower playground on Wednesday, August 31st.
Have you ever looked closely at insects? This year we will learn the names for insect body parts, and will look closely at many insects. Could you see if you can find a dried insect to share here at school? We will be pinning them and comparing all the types of insects that we see in Vermont .
