On May 1, we sent Ms. Swick off in style. She was "surprised" by the kindergarten dance party and special snack! We wish her well in her teaching career.

1. What time is the show?
6:00 p.m. PLease sit on the side away from the piano in order to best see the students in our class.

children arrive and where?
5:45 p.m. at their own classroom(a light supper is
helpful- nervous tummies can be challenging)
3. Should my child wear
special clothing? We will
provide a special t-shirt. Your child may wear dark pants – navy blue or black
4. Where
can I meet my child after the stage portion? Come pick up your child in the classroom, and follow the art show
scavenger hunt located in your program.
5. Should we take the
artwork on display home with us? No. Your child’s artwork will be sent home at a
later date.
***We could use volunteers right after school on Thursday to help hang artwork.
Please let your child’s teacher know if you can come to help. We also would
appreciate help taking down the art show at 7:15 on Thursday night.****

A Note From Ms. Swick
Hello Parents,
A message from Ms. Swick (the student teacher):
Maybe some of you have heard, we have been busy learning about Force and Motion the last couple weeks. We have practiced the language of object's positions, such as behind, between, above, below, etc. We have had fun moving for motion. We've discussed push and pull, how to move things without touching them, and even gravity. The students have been predicting and experimenting with force and motion. We will continue with this science curriculum for the next week or two. I hope you hear a little more about Force and Motion at home.
Additionally, I want to let you know that I will be "soloing" the next two weeks, which means that Mrs. Koch will be out of the room and I will be running the classroom on my own. It will be a transition for the kids (they love Mrs. Koch), so if you want to talk with your student more it will help her/him adjust to the change. I have been enjoying my time in the room and I look forward to the next couple of weeks!
Thank you,
Katie Swick
