A Fantastic First Day of First Grade

Today we had a fantastic day. The class worked together to remember and learn routines, expectations and rules. We had many chances to practice, and even some time to build and explore too!

Welcome back!

I look forward to meeting all of you on the LOWER PLAYGROUND later this morning. It will be fun to be together again to learn. I will try to post some pictures of the new gang.

Getting Ready For School

Welcome to first grade!
I have been busy getting ready for school to start, and I just can’t wait to see you on the first day of school. I will meet you on the lower playground on Wednesday, August 31st.
Have you ever looked closely at insects? This year we will learn the names for insect body parts, and will look closely at many insects. Could you see if you can find a dried insect to share here at school? We will be pinning them and comparing all the types of insects that we see in Vermont.

Looking for ipods

I am putting out a call for any old ipods. I am hoping to use them for a listening center this year. Please let me know if you can spare one, or if you have extra ear buds or headphones. I do want you to know that I might not be able to return them to you, so this would be considered a donation to the classroom. Thanks so much!

Classroom Fun!

If it happens to rain later today- we will meet in the classroom for face painting!!
