We set off for Harrison field on Wednesday morning with the mission to build winter homes for mice. We have been learning about the ways that people and animals prepare for winter. We read a story about a mouse escaping form predators, and also looked at many photos of mouse houses. Kindergarten kids were ready to create some homes for the mice of Harrison Forest! The kids even left seeds and corn kernels for the mice. Karen and Corey joined us, and provided excellent help with all of the winter gear and preparations. We have ECO again in one week, and hope to find clues that the mice actually visited the homes!
